1) Here's the homework.

2) Rocket Project - Due Fri and Tues (6th and 7th periods). A-day - if you absolutely CAN'T get it done by Friday, you can do it over the weekend, I'll accept it by then. If you have a class that you can come and shoot, that's great, or we'll just shoot for you. OR you can come in before school and do it!

This is a Lab Grade! so it is worth a lot of points - don't skip this. You get 80 points for making the rocket and the extra points are for show (make it look GOOD)!

VERY IMPORTANT: Be sure to read Mr. Parson's hand written instructions - big change, though, you can use duct tape and I suggest that you do. It makes this projectVERY fast and easy.

Below are pictures I took at school:

Cut the end off of one of the two liter bottles.

Shove this into the top part of the bottle.
  remove end
shove into top   This makes the chamber to hold your weight (rock, pennies, something).

You will want to glue or tape it into the bottle. DON'T USE HOT GLUE!!! (It could cause a rupture of the bottle when we pressurize it.)

The weights can be inserted thru the opening and closed with the lid. Don't use too much weight, Goldilocks.

Duct tape the fins to your second bottle. Don't use light cardboard. Presentation board is best.

Put the other bottle into the first, as shown.

Duct tape them together.

Again, Mr. Parson's instructions are here.
